primer3 software package provides Tool to design flanking oligo nucleotides for DNA amplification, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install primer3
primer3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the primer3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep primer3 *
You will get with primer3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
